Time to Catch up!!!

I am so far behind in updating our family blog.
I decided to put the last 4 months together.

In February Gehrig turned 7.
He was so excited to have a football party.
Sadly it rained all that day.
The football helmet he has on stayed on for days.
I even caught him asleep in the playroom with it on.
He had a great party inside. Gammy and Ryan came
up with all kinds of games for inside the house.
That night he requested GREEN EGGS & HAM for Dinner.
Man how I love this kid.

My little man is not so little anymore.
Double digits!!
Daxton is in love with Soccer.
We had a great party at the field with lots of Soccer, pizza,
ice cream sandwiches and friends.
I made all the boys shirts with a 10 on it for the intense games!

Well my little girl had to get glasses.
She looks so adorable.
She was so happy to be like her big Brother.
Ryan had his first moment of spoiling his little girl.
We were suppose to get here a bike for birthday but Dad had other plans.
He rang the door bell and there he was with her new bike.
She loved it.
Every girl deserves to be spoiled by there Daddy!!

Lily had her last day of Ms. Carly's Preschool.
That we all loved.
Thank you Carly!!

Lily and Ryan went to Build a Bear. They had so much fun.
Lily was amazed by the whole thing. She loved every minute of it.
She knows just how to work her Daddy.
Off to McDonalds for dinner and ice cream.
Lily kept asking Ryan "Is it time to go Daddy?"
Ryan would have to say "Do you want to go home?"
Lily: "No"
Ryan:"We can stay as long as you want"
Then she would get a huge grin!!

We signed Lily up for her first cheer clinic. It was a scream.
She and her friends had a good time.
They get to perform at the half time of a Varsity Basketball game.

SAMOA

We were giving the best gift ever!! The chance to go to the island of Samoa to visit
Gammy & Papa (Ryan's parents) over Christmas They are serving a Mission for the LDS church. We were so excited and counted the days down. We had so many adventures and memories that will last for a life time.

As I stated before, being the smart person I am on the computer.
In my turn fashion I accidentally deleted the last 8 months worth of pictures.
Ryan was able get back some but not all.
Unfortunately, I lost all of the pictures of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
I am sure I will realize later how many more photos I lost.

Ryan got an AWARD at the Suns game!!

Ryan received the COTTON FITZSIMMONS COACHING AWARD
at half time of one of the SUNS home game.
We were giving courtside seats and the kids were able to go in a suite with my parents.
We had a great night. Lots of great pictures. I got a picture with Steve Nash and Daxton got to play on the court after the game too. Not to mention my hubby on the court at halftime!!!
Sadly as I was uploading my photos to my computer I DELETED the last 8 months worth of
pictures. I am still sick to my stomach about it. Luckily, Ryan was able to get back a few. I knew I should of updated the blog before we left to Samoa, then I would have a back up plan.
At least I have the memories in my mind:)

The kids were out riding bike and I glanced at Lily thinking that something was really wrong with her. I went out to see if she was okay. Sure enough she was. She was putting lipstick on with a make-up brush. She is a hoot. I have video of it. I am laughing so hard in the background. Sadly the video is not working. Gotta love this girl.

Stake Rodeo

Every year our Stake puts on the BEST Rodeo ever!!!
We cannot wait until it is November.
This year the kids ran with the chicken to catch one and get a prize.
No such luck this year. It is so fun to watch. Hundreds of kids in the coral chasing chickens.
My friend Cheri and Jarrica talked me into competing in the DRESS a GOAT contest.
Ryan filmed it on his phone.
Still trying to uplaod it to the blog.
It was so fun. Oh and Yes WE WON!!!
Uncle Brett came with us while his little family was out of town.
Can't wait until next year.
Maybe next year Ryan will chase a Bull!!!

Veteran's Day we decided to get out of the house and ride a train. Lily has been talking about riding on a train for weeks. It was great weather. It was very fun but we realized that our boys are getting older and doing things like this is just not COOL. As you can tell from Daxtons picture on the train. The difference in Lily and Daxton's face is priceless.

Every year schools around the states raise money for Breast Cancer.
It is such a great thing to be apart of.
Also it is the one day I can get my boys to wear pink!

Over break we had all the neighborhood boys over.
It started to get a little crazy.
All of a sudden we heard crying and all the boys yelling "Theres blood everywhere!"
Ryan and I ran into the playroom to find Gehrig on the floor holding his head.
Yes he split his head open for the 5th time!!!
He was standing on Lily's chair and fell.
He even broke the chair.
I took him straight to urgent care.
The poor thing was terrified. He did not want stitches or staples. (yes he has had both)
He asked the Doctor if there was any way he could glue it.
The Doctor was great.
He was able to glue the split.
He even printed out 15 pages about Lou Gehrig. Who he was named after.
I think I am going to start wrapping him in packaging bubbles, just to ensure his safety.
I will tell you,
he is one tough kid!!!

It is funny to me because the poor girl was born with NO hair and now she has a ton.
I wanted to cut it really short, but from the looks of it that might not be a very good idea!!

Saturday night at about 6:00 p.m. I walked into the playroom to find Gehrig and Lily asleep on the floor. As you can tell from the looks of the playroom they were having a grand time in there.
Both these kiddos can fall asleep just about anywhere!!!
I put them both in there beds and they did not wake up until the next morning.
I wish I could do that.

I love to come up with an idea in my head and actually be able to pull it off. Sadly the credit for this bed goes to Ryan. He came up with the design and built it for me. I sewed the fabric and we attached it to the bed. I love it. And so does Lily. I still need to paint the walls. I am thinking yellow. And get her a white down comforter and lots and lots of colorful pillow.
The boys were so cute when they say the finished product. They said" Wow it looks like a really big couch, can we get a TV in here?"

Lily loves to get herself dressed. The things that she comes up with are priceless. This is what she picked to wear to preschool. I have decided that I need to take a picture of all of the outfits that she changes into on a daily basis. Sometimes she will change her clothes up to 6 time a day.

Ryan has coached the Girls Volleyball team for awhile now. His little sister just got the job at Westwood High School coaching there girls team.
It just so happened that there first game was against each other. It was great.
It was so much fun to watch them both in action. And to top it off the kids had a blast with Owen. ( Rachel's little boy)

Lily started preschool this month. She was so funny. Every year the boys get to go out front and take there first day of school pictures. Lily was all over this. She reminded me that we needed to take pictures. She is a bright little girl. She love to play with friends and learn. When she gets home from school I will find her either in her room or the playroom acting like her teacher Ms. Carly. Who she calls iCarly, from the tv show. She is a hoot.

Daxton is in 3rd Grade this year.
He is so happy to finally be back at school to play sports at recess.

For as long as I can remember Lily has been talking about her Princess party. She informed us that Daddy was the King, Mommy was the Queen, Gehr- Gehr was the Knight and Daxton was a Dragon. It has been so much fun to have her tell you all about this party she was going to have. And she insisted that she have a Castle Cake.
So here it is. I had so much fun making this cake.

And were off to Bear Lake. Right after the Suns Camp we headed out to our favorite place in the world. Sadly Ryan's parents were not there this year with us. They are still serving a mission in Samoa. We truly did miss them. I realized how much work it really takes to run the Lake House. Thank you Gammy and Papa for letting us go to the House.

We invited my whole family to join us but my parents and my sister Stacey's daughters were the only ones that could make it. They missed out.

We stopped at Moqui Cave to check it out. It has been years since I have been there.

These two were so funny. They had just gotten back from Grandpa Chapman taking them horse back riding. They had both decided that Grandpa needed to buy them a horse and they were going to build a barn for the horse. They sat outside for forever talking about how they could make this happen. With the family is Ty Abbot, one of the greatest kids around. He plays for ASU, this next year is his Senior Year. It has been so fun watching him grow into a man.

The kids have been begging to go out and play with the hose or run through the sprinklers. The boys went and got on there swimsuits. Lily obviously thinks that she is one of the boys.

Ryan and I were able to go on the Suns Playoff game on Thursday. We were in the suite. There was this totally wasted dude in front of us. If you know what the suites are like there are seats right in front of the suite box. Anyways this guy kept staring at us. Then it got wild he was dancing and yelling. To top it off he was a very Large Man!! Dang I should of taken a picture. The game was a blow out, so it was nice to have some entertainment. Thanks drunken fat man.

I have been wanting a back splash for so long. I am having my sisters shower at my house, so I was able to mark this off the list of things that need to be done in the house. I was so nervous about my vision. My dad made the cuts and I laid the tile and grouted it.
I am very proud of my hard work. Thanks Dad for your help.

Gehrig had to make an animal living in it own habitat. I was so proud of him he did the entire project on his own. I grab all kinds of craft stuff I had and he took it from there.

My dear friend Jarrica made this adorable headband for Lily. She was quite the treat to get her to wear it, but once it was on she loved it.

We did white elephant gifts this year with everyone. Grandma read Twas the Night Before Christmas and every time she said THE we passed the gift to our left.

My Brother Kenny asked everyone to wear there best Festive outfit.

Grandma and Grandpa gave all the grand-kids pajamas. And once again I was not on my game I forgot to get a picture of the kids in front of the tree with there snazzy p.j.s. I am loosing my touch. It must be that I am 30.

This Christmas has been so fun. Lily is obsessed with Santa. She talks about him all the time. Asking me where he is and what is he doing. I was proud of the boys they did good sitting on Santa's lap. It still makes them a little uneasy.

I had the privilege to make a cake for my sweet sister in law Sarah, for her baby shower. I am so happy for her and Brett to having this little bundle of joy on the way.

Gehirg losses 2 teeth in 2 days!

Gehrig had a loose tooth for a long time. Finally one night before bath we finally talked him into letting Ryan pull it. He was so excited after it was done.

The next day after his soccer game the boys came running into my bathroom. Daxton trips and the tooth goes flying!! It was so funny. Needless to say Daxton was so proud of himself because he pulled out Gehrigs other tooth. 2 nights of the Tooth fairy!!!

Halloween Party with Friends

We decided this year to get together with all our friends in the Neighborhood and have a party.
All of the kids love each other and cannot function without one another. We ate some food, played, went tricker treating, watched a movie and ate way too much candy!!!!

Dig Pink in Tukee

Every year schools around the nation play a Volleyball game in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Ryan's school Desert Vista and its rival Mountain Ponite do this game and call it Dig Pink in Tukee. It is a major deal. Out of all the schools in the nation that do this Dig Pink in Tukee raises the most money. It is such a neat thing to be apart of. Most of us have all been affected by breast cancer in some way. I decided this year that I would buy pink shirts for the boys. They were so funny. Very hesitant to do so. After they confirmed that Dad would be wearing pink and what it meant to wear pink, they were in. What a great night.

Over Fall break we needed stuff to do. What better than to go to the town Circus. Very Interesting is all I can say.

It is finally not deathly hot outside at night. So we can enjoy our backyard.
I told Lily to go in and get shoes this is what she picked. Who doesn't play outside in there highheels.!!

I die laughing when I see this picture because of Gehrig. He wanted me to take pictures of him and he was telling me what he was doing. In this picture they are Cowboys. Daxton is shooting guns and Gehrig is riding a Horse saying Yee Haw!!

Young Woman's Activity

The Young Women asked me to come in and teach them how to make a fondant cake. I was so impressed with all of them. They did great. And we had so much fun.
Thank you girls for the chance to do this.

This was my example cake that I made very quickly. I gave it to one of our primary teachers who gave me heck while we were singing happy birthday to him in primary for not making him a cake for his birthday. So here you go Mark. I hope you like pink and purple. Now no more making me feel bad!!:)

Grandma Scheel Turns 80!

We decided to celebrate Grandma turning 80. What a great day. She loves purses and the colors pink and purple. So I made a cake with all of her loves. It was a surprise to her. Her face was so cute when I showed up with the cake. She was so surprised that she cried. I hope you had a fab day Grandma. We love you.

All the boys had so much fun. They were playing King of the Mountain. You had to paper, rock, scissor. If you lost you had to jump off or get pushed off. Whatever came first.

Gehrig loves socks!!! When we go to Gammy and Papas they get to go shopping in the shopping cart if they clean up the playroom. Well Gehrig loves this. Gammy always has great socks in the basket. And he is always the first to grab them. This lovely pair of socks were just a little to big, but that did not stop him. This was his outfit to the gym. The next day he wore them again to school. He tried to sneak past me to wear them for a third day. Needless to say they were nasty at this point. I should point out that he loves to collect things. Just a couple of years ago all he wanted was mittens. (that came from the shopping cart too)
He would wear them in the heat of the summer.
This boy is a riot. I love you Gehr Gehr!!!:)

My Grandpa Chapman has been in and out of the hospital and nursing homes for the last month. We went to visit him to lift his spirits. He was the envy of the whole place with two cute girlys sitting on his lap. This is Julia, the little girl I am watching for a friend.

It's Party Time
I was so excited for Lily's party. I bought her some pajamas at Costco that had a Cupcake on them and the ideas for her party started flowing. I decided to make it a cupcake party. I made a sign for the door. Her shirt with a cupcake and clippies to match.

I also had to make little cupcakes to hang from the chandelier. So much fun.
